About the Council

Albury Parish Council is made up of nine residents of the Parish of Albury, Farley Green, Brook and Little London, and the clerk. It meets on the first Monday of each month in the Memorial Library, with the purpose of discussing and ministering areas of the village over which it is empowered to have a watching brief.

The council is primarily concerned with issues such as planning applications, highways and right of way matters, the running of the village hall and library, which it rents from Albury Estate and the maintenance of Farley Green and the Recreation Ground. In addition, the Parish Council concerns itself with the day to day running of the landfill site and Star Energy's proposals for further gas exploration under the Surrey Hills.

The village centre is open in the Memorial Library each Tuesday afternoon, for enquiries and assistance, or please telephone the Clerk, Mrs Joanna Cadman, on 01483 268627 or e-mail her at joanna@joannacadman.com.
